Of course everyone loves the summer because it's a time to let loose and if you're a student you don't want to see a book at least until september. I on the other hand don't share that sentiment. At the beginning of the summer I started reading "Lullaby" by Chuck Palahniuk.

This book was written by the same guy who authored "Fight Club". It is centered around a man who is mourning the death of his baby and wife; both of whom died mysteriously. It was the best way to start off my summer reading."Lullaby" was a short easy read so it did feel like school work.

"Fast Food Nation" is a book about American based fast food restaurants and all the things that we the consumer don't know about them. This book definitely changed my views on how I feel about food and where I eat.

The next book I read was 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close". This book was about a nine year old boy name Oskar. It follows Oskar on a quest to become closer to his recently deceased father by finding the lock to a key he found in his fathers belongings.

I am currently in the middle of reading "Eating Animal" by the Same Author of "Extreme Loud and Incredibly Close". This book takes a look at factory farming. The Authors writing is perfect for a informational book. Jonathan Safran Foer is able to convey his opinions with out sound too preachy and overbearing.

Next on my list is "The Alchemist". I have received nothing but great reviews for this book. I haven't read a synopsis about so I'm going in completely blind to the plot. wish me luck!!!

Black Swan

I know I'm kinda late on this, but Black Swan was the best psychological thriller I have seen all year. Natalie Portman does a great job in her portrayal of a meek and naive ballerina. Plus the Lesbian scene between her and Mila Kunis makes it all worth my $12.50.

Top 10: Zombie Movies

Anyone that knows me well knows that I love horror movies; But if i had to choose a certain type of horror movie I would definitely choose zombie movies. There is just something about the hopelessness of it all. As well as the the emotional and physical the characters must summon to kill zombies in the from of their family and friends.

#10- Dead Air

This movie takes place in a radio station during a zombie take over. the main character is smart mouth disc jockey. Although the movie is low budget and the story line is a bit ify, the movie is still a great watch and the story moves at a good pace.

#9- Zombieland

This horror comedy is hilariously scary. Zombieland show how resilient humans are. No matter what happens in the world the same thing thats we find important will always be important. Two of which being sex and entertainment.

#8- Quarantine

I may be the only one in this boat but i love mocumentaries. This movie invokes feelings of claustrophobia and does a great job to keep you on your toes.

#7-Resident Evil

This video Game based zombie action movie is perfectly blended. This first installment is definitely the best of the series.

#6- Diary Of The Dead

Another mocumentary, Diary Of The Dead show how Zombie Can effect all aspects of our life. director George A. Romero often uses his zombie movies as satirical statement on politics and this movie is no different.

#5- Pet Sematary

This 1980'S film takes a different spin on the zombie movie.

instead of hoards of zombies this movie had just two a dog and a toddler. As innocent as it sounds this was the set up for the most disturbing zombie ever put on film, and Left the phrase "Sometimes dead is better" stuck in your head.

#4- The signal

The Signal shows snippets of the lives of a group of people just after they have been exposed to a radio signal that makes people violently insane.

#3- Dawn Of The Dead

this remake of a classic is down beautifully and has one of the weirdest most heart wrenching scene with a pregnant zombie

#2- The Crazies

This movie poses the question who will you kill to survive and the answer it gives is everyone.

#1- 28 days Later

I love this Movie I have watched it multiple time and I'm still not tired of it. This one stands out Because these zombies are ruthless and quick. They are not like the zombies of yesteryear if you get caught slipping your life is gone.

(I know that a couple of the entries aren't technically zombie movies but they include the same elements that zombie movies include so i'll classify them as such.)

True Blood

Season 3 of "True Blood" comes to an end in a couple of days and it feels bitter sweet. Bitter because now that this season is finished we all have to wait almost a year for another season. Sweet because all the major issues that took place throughout the season are going to be resolved soon (Finally). I love a good resolution.

P.S. Im already hearing rumors of witches in the new season. I believe It though because that new waitress did say she is a Wiccan. (I don't know but something about her don't sit right with me)

Folks I'm back with more things that reside on the edge. Did you all miss me??? not at all right?well that's okay cause I'm back anyway.

Its about that time of year where the days get shorter, the nights get colder, and the fashion gets hotter. Fall Fashion is no easy thing to pull off, but with the right foundation you can be one step closer to perfection.

The hipster in me knows that I can never go wrong with a great pair of Vans. The right pair can be worn with almost any outfit and deliver that cool laid back look.

The grunge side of me knows that the right pair of boots will get you through the autumn weather with style and edge. The Amongst Friends boots featured above are a perfect example of this.

My preppy side knows that deck/boat shoes are a necessary staple in any fashion enthusiasts closet. The picture above is of a pair of Zara deck shoes. These will definitely take you to any event with a uniquely different look from the run of the mill Sperry's and Sebago's

The Gaga is back with another crazy, weird, freakshow of a video (you know the type of videos us little monsters love). I don't know what the vid has to do with the song but hey it's Lady Gaga so it doesn't has to make sense. Two things i must say though the first being the Madonna references in the video are cool and modern. The second being i know I'm not the only one that caught the blatant emasculation of the men in the video. I guess men can be objectified too.

These Carrera sunglasses are perfect for a summer day on the beach. the shape of the frames and color of the lens are immaculate.

These Raybans are on my must get list. When I get these I will be wearing them every chance I get. The color combo is so simple but make for a sick glasses.

I tried to beat my addiction but i back to feeding my cravings. These Taka Hayashi X Vans sneakers had me falling back into my old habits. The earth tones and the tribal patterns make it perfect for a day that you don't feel like getting dressed, because if you throw on these with a regular outfit they will make you stand out.

These desert boot like sneakers are just what i have been searching for. They are perfect for the spring time. The Two top pair are Pointer while the bottom is Ipath. These sneaker can be dressed up and dressed down and still look perfect for the occasion.

So, I just have to talk about Gaga's newest contribution t the music world..."Telephone" feat. Beyonce "Honey B". Shall we....

So the video premired last night and I have two words....A-MAZING!!! The entire concept frm start to finish and the skits in between were genius!! I love how she played the whole "Gaga has a penis" thing into the video (also my bloggin bff, talks about her cover shoot in a previous post).

Her outfits were smokin...Literally... check her sunglasses in the prison yard!!!! Homegirl probably caught secondhand smoke just from kissin her!! And did she do a jig when she left the prison, hahaha!!

Love the caution tape scene with her head doin some exorcist type things...and the recipe for poison...hahaha

There's no ending to how much I can say about this video...but if you have yet t see it, I'll let you throw your opinion out there!!

Lots of love to you bloggers...I know Im a bit late but lets chit chat....

Ok so I dont know how many of you guys caught the Oscar's this past Sunday but I did and can I just say GA HEAD MO'NIQUE!!!! I am so proud of her and was praying for her to win cause she did her thing in Preacious!

I must admit that was the only I reason I watched the show, because I wanted to see how many awards Preacious would have walked away with. Although it was one, and in my opinion they deserved another, I was extremely proud of the one they did get.

As for a Kathryn Bigalow winning the award for best director of a film, GA HEAD GIRL!! Again I am so proud. I haven't seen the movie but surely am honored to be a woman right now.

Ok so i last spoke to you about Rihanna's newest video "Rude Boy". So it premiered last week and here's my take on it....

It's most definitely different and much more colorful and fun than any video shes done in a while (probably since "Shut Up & Drive"). I love the looks she has with the waist high shorts, the black and white catsuit, which reminded me of the artist my bloggin bff talked about a while back and the watch-bracelet. Was a bunch of whining (for those that don't know what that is, its when you rotate your hips!) and old school reggae dance moves she threw down in the vid too!

Its a cute video and the song is catchy....now let's see how many rude boys AND GIRLS we got out there!!!

Are those boat shoes I see for the Lavin S/S 2010 footwear collection. I'm like this muted color choices. I'm getting the feeling the upcoming season is going to be more about patterns and texture and less about color.

I don't really have much to say about these Gucci Hi Strap sneakers. The one thing I will say about them though is this... These are the first sneakers I have seen Gucci do and I have actually have an urge to go and buy them.

I think it be best if we start at the bottom of the show...when I blogged about the VMA's one of the first things I talked about was Mr. West himself. He was no where to be found at this show huh, them classy white folks said "oh no Kanye not here you wont be coming up on stage interrupting no white people!!"...However Drake, Wayne and Em held it down for him!

Real quick, can anybody tell me what was the deal with Usher and Jamie Foxx's horse-back riding boots, I got them memo on combat boots this season but why are they going to war on horses?? Smh. Lets try that again fellas.

Pink...that girl can blow...I mean come on, how many singers do you know today that can actually hold a note...let alone doing it while spinning around and haning upside down..ga head Pink!! Very sexy performance!

Ms. Carter herself...lol sound like she was singing straight to Jay letting him know..."I can wear them pants too homeboy!!! Dont do me wrong" but she did her thing!! You best work B...and her little " my husband/ I Love You shout out" how cute was that!

Three Words....LADY GAGA J'ADORE!!! (Thats four huh..oh well!) I loved her performance from start to finish and her outfit was bad (as in good) as always but her piece with Elton John was amazing...never fails Gaga you always do your thing!!

If there is anything to know about me its that I love movies... especially Horror movies. The After Dark Horrorfest is the best thing to happen to the horror movie.

In THE REEDS, a weekend boating trip through the Norfolk Broads becomes a terrifying, deadly ordeal for six 20-something year old friends.

I know that you guys already know about my obsession with shoes, sneakers, boots I mean footwear in general. So don't act so surprised when you see me talk about it often.

I recently came across the brand called Yuketen. They specialize in outdoorsy type looks; the line definitely gives off Lumberjack with style. The boots shown above are their Ranger Chukkas. They also come in black.

When I first seen Kanye West in Raf Simons sneakers similar to the pink, blue, and tan ones I knew I had to have them. These sneakers take a simple design and brings them to the next level.

I'm starting to realize a recent trend with footwear, that trend would be the folding over of the back and tongue. The shoes shown above are Ubiq Bo-Ro. I'm liking the boho flava on these.

Ok Ok I think Giuliano Fujiwara is starting to become my favorite shoe designer. You might remember me talking bout this designer in an older post titled: What The Sole Craves. Honestly Iwould spring for a pair of one of these sneakers given half the chance, and might i say that those ones with the navy suede front is whispering "buy me" in my ear.

I just happen to come across the look book for Balmain 2010 spring/summer. the looks seem to be inspired by military looks. The line utilizes a lot of denim and leather. I must say I would wear all the looks especially the tan jeans with the patches... those are uber cool... lmao.

I think by now we already know how i feel about foot wear so lets just dive right in.

Both of these sneakers are Nikes. the ones on the left are blazers and the ones on the right are Nike Air Zooms.

I think I have a new love... and it is these Dior Homme sneakers. They also come in black and white. I just think the ideas of the sneaker is sick and i would love to own a pair I'm just scared to look at the price.

These are Android Homme sneakers. These kind of remind me of a toned down version of the Air Yeezys. I'm feeling the metallic look on these.

Movies For 2010

Any one that knows me knows that I loves movies. So it's no wonder I'm already looking out for the movies slated to be released in 2010. Here are a few of my top choices for must see movies for the up coming year.

"The Lovely Bones" is a movie that has been on my radar for a while now. I'm always interested to see what marky mark has up his sleeve. This drama/fantasy looks like it'll definitely be quirky and tug at your heart strings. "The Lovely Bones" will be released in theaters everywhere january 15th, so be sure to keep an eye out for the trailers on t.v.

"Tron Legacy" is another movie that has been on my radar. First off let me say if you haven't seen the original, it is a great movie. with that said this remake looks like it will knock the original out of the box. The effects in this movie look mind blowing and the trailer was amazing. This is a must see in I-Max nothing else will suffice. "Tron Legacy" will be released December 17th, but that is so long from now that I suspect that the release will be most likely changed.

"Inception" looks crazy cool. Leonardo Dicaprio is another person's movie I'm always interested to see. this guy is a brilliant actor and always seems to make the right choices when it comes to roles. Plus with a director like Chris Nolan (The Dark Knight) behind the lens how can you not be a little curious about this movie. "Inception" is supposed to be released July 16th, looks like they are looking to make this a summer blockbuster.

"Prince Of Persia" stars another one of my favorite actors. Ever since i seen Jake Gyllenhaal in "Donnie Darko" I knew he wouldn't be some fly by night actor. One thing that really surprises me though is fact that this is a Walt Disney movie, I don't know but this kinda seems to dark for disney to get right. "Prince Of Persia" is going to be released may 28th.

"Iron Man 2" need I say more. Well I will anyway. I recently saw the trailer For this movie and can i just say... thats it. Thats all i got, the trailer left me speechless but in a good way. With Robert Downey Jr. you cant really go wrong. "Iron Man 2" is slated to be released May 7th.

"Frozen" is a realistic horror movie (one of the scariest types). If nothing else this movie will make me never want to go skiing. This one stars Shawn Ashmore you know Iceman from "X-men" and the blonde guy in "The Ruins." I respect this guy as an actor and can see his career going very far. "Frozen" is set to be released Febuary 5th.

"District 13: Ultimatum" is a intense action with a lot of close contact hand to hand combat. This movie looks crazy, I don't thing you'll want to take your eye off the screen for one second. This one is in limited release on February 5th.

"Clash Of The Titans" is going to be epic... I'm not asking I'm telling. This movie is definitely at the top of my must see list. WAIT WAIT WAIT... Liam Neeson is going to be Zeus... did i say epic because i meant to say EPIC!!! this is another one the must be seen in I-MAX. MArk your calenders for March 26 and make sure you get your tickets early.

Last But not least we go back down the rabbit hole with "Alice In Wonderland." This one is directed by Tim Burton so you already know it is gonna to weird for words, and another plus is Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. I'm loving this combo already. I just hope I won't be disappointed like I was with the Chocolate factory remake. This One is supposed to be out March 5th in 3D... so make sure you're not late for a very important date.

I will most likely talk more about a couple of these movies when we get closer to theirs release dates. I just want to keep you guys posted on any new occurrences with theses films.

Winter is here!

Needless to say every good wardrobe needs a good pair of boots... or three.

The boots above are Palladium. I just want to put this out there for the readers... (I will get a pair of these before February)

The boots come in many different colors and materials. The ones made out of leather are $110, while the ones made out of canvas are $70

These plaid and black boot are Ralph Lauren and they have shearling on the inside. These boots is nice and everything but I feel like every Day- Day and Pookie gonna be on the corner with them just cause they are Polo. These Boots are $175

The boots on the left is Quoddy and the one on the right is Rick Owens. I can definitely see myself in both boots. I love the preppiness of the ones on the left and the worn in grunge look of the ones on the right.

I was looking through the current GQ today and saw that they featured numerous black men who are "making moves". I must say though that what surprised me the most was the two page layout with the fastest man on earth Usain Bolt. I love the fact that a jamaican man is not one of the fastest but THE FASTEST. I must say it brings me much personal pride as a person with jamaican heritage.

Kobe Bryant was featured in a section on suits with peak lapels. In the picture above his watch alone is worth $25,000

The new kids on the block... no not the boy band. Wale, Drake, and Kid Cudi are the newly proclaimed "Gangsta Killers". I'm really glad to see these three getting their just dues. i have been following Drake from his first mixtape "room for improvement." and both single from Wale (chilling) and Kid Cudi (day and night) have gotten a lot of play on my ipod. needless to say GQ as well as i believe that they can and will take Hip Hop in a new (great) direction.

Excuse my ignorance; but i didn't know that in the foyer of the department of justice hung only two pictures, one of the president and the other of attorney general. For the first time ever not one but both picture have a black man in it. Sometimes my country can make me so proud.

If there is one thing to know about me its that I'm a horror movie buff. I seriously can't get enough especially when the deal with zombies.

The movie is about the inhabitants of a small Iowa town suddenly plagued by insanity and then death after a mysterious toxin contaminates their water supply. It stars a lot of new faces and is scheduled to be released some time in February of next year.

So my bloggin bff has expressed to me that my blogs have been too long in the past, so I am taking his advice and cutting down my chitter chatter.

It Christmas season, so you know what that means...Headaches and backaches from looking for gifts and carrying them home! So what would be some memorable gifts for you gentlemen and gentlewomen to get for your man and/or lady and you ladies/mens to get your gentlemen and/or gentlewoman? How about electronics. The Nintendo Wii, DS and PS GO and PS3 are definately whats hot for all ages and genders right now. Im dying for a Nintendo DS right now (hint hint!)

Gentlemen/woman, if you wana get something spectacular for ur Mrs. get her some sexy boots. Staurt Weitzman has some sexxxy boots this season ( Yes people wear Stuart Weitzman!!) there a lil' pricy but if shes worth it...GO FOR IT! I would also recommend Christian Louboutin's "Nitoinimoi's" (Rihanna had em on in the Blue sude & Black leather!)

How about jewelry?? Watches are definately a cool way to go, don't jump the gun to quick and they say jst the right amount of words! Check out the blog me n my bloggin bff did on watches a few months back. Go for the gold or the sexy chic blinged out black!

Media, Movies and My Faves Pt II

I know, I know I said I wudn't do it but I did...Im sorry blogsters, anywho lets get to work shall we??

What shall we spill about today? Lets go all over with the music, movies and must-haves for the fall...so

Music: Ok of course Im gonna go right ahead and talk about my love, Rihanna and her new cd coming out this Monday November 23rd. Can I just say, her new "swag" thats straight up "i will cut u", I LOVE IT!! My personal favorites on the album: Cold Case Love, The Last Song, Hard and her new one out, Wait Your Turn.

...Lets touch base on Beyonce's new video real quick featuring my other babydoll, Lady Gaga. I personally don't like the video. Ok we all know Lady Gaga is known for her fashion and in this video we got a real dry vesion of her as Stefani Germanotta. However, it was said that Ms. Gaga didn't want to steal the show on Beyonce's song. Cuz lets be real she wuda stole the show!! How nice!

Movies: Precious, Paranomal Activity and 2012. Definate must see's. Precious is hands down an amzing movie. Actors did their thing and Mo'nique and Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) gave us a show. Ya'll betta work! Paranormal Activity is freaky as hell. All I have to say is, that movie had me up a couple hours into the night after watching it in the dark. And 2012...I don't I need to say more than...GO SEE IT!

Must-Haves: So as my blogin bff said in his latest fall fashion"fur" blog, animal hair on your back, feet and arm are the way to rock it this season. White and black fur vests with a pair of leggings and sexy boots are definately the way to go blogettes and a crisp clean outfit finished off with some decked out fur footwear (not too furry though) is a hot look for you bloggs.

Well I think we did it all....Im chillin on the chit chat and I'll be right here till next time we meet on the edge!

Food for thought? Lets go with baked chicken, rice and macroni pie. Yup I'm back on my "coconut".

fall fashions: Fur

this is my last fall fashions 09/10 post. It kind of bitter sweet, only because I love all the different types of style this season.

Of course I have to start off with Zara. The fur jacket on the left is a reversible rabbit fur/suede this is definitely a luxury item. The vest on the left i don't know to much about. I do know that this season is all about layers, and what a better way to layer than to put on a fur vest with a thick long sleeve shirt and a pair of waxed denim skinny jeans ladies?

(FYI: all of the fur items for Zara were obtain in humane ways.)

The next thing in fur is the fur bag. Here is Mary-Kate Olsen with a big fur bag (zara also has nice fur bags)

These two items are some of my favorite of the season. The necklace is a bit off the wall but i think thats what makes me like it. while the sneaker i would probably wear into the ground. the sneakers are a mixture of fur, leather, and suede. All i have to say is WISHLIST... (hint, hint)

yea it is the end Autumn and the sun is about to set earlier than we would like, but that doesn't mean that we can't put on a nice pair of shades. Specifically a pair of Mosley Tribes. Now I know that people have a lot of reservations when it comes to wearing glasses at night or in bad weather, but glasses are not only good to keep the sun out of your eyes but they can also protect them from the harsh winter winds.

the picture above show the shades i plan on getting for the winter. these shades are a collaboration between Mosley Tribes and Crooks and Castles. the shades were for last season but i think they deserve to be carried over for a season or two.

I don't know much about Keith Haring. How i got to become familiar with is kinda by chance. About a month ago i was talking to my girlfriend over the phone while she was watching a show for fashion week. She was trying to describe Kanye West new haircut to me "it's so cool, it looks like something Keith Haring would do." I was totally lost, so when I got home I did a little homework on the artist.

After seeing some of Haring's work as well as Kayne new haircut I knew this was slated to be something emerging for the season.

A couple weeks later I was walking through SOHO when i decided to stop in Uniglo. Uniglo always has some of the best graphic tees for the low, and when i walked in guess what i saw Keith Haring shirts. It felt like my destiny to own one.

A few days After my trip to Uniglo i went to work (Zara) where out of the corner of my eye i saw a hoody the looked very "Keith Haring." I instantly dropped everything i was doing and walked over to that section. Next paycheck is most likely going to a couple of these items.

A Nightmare on Elm Street... REMAKE!?!?!?

I'm sure by everyone now everyone has heard about the latest horror remake. This should come as no surprise after the remakes of "Friday the 13th", "Halloween", and countless other horror classics.

I must say that I am very excited to see how this movie turns out, even though it will be a real adjustment for me to watch a Freddy movie without freddy being played by Robert Englund. The new Freddy will be play by actor Jackie Earle Haley. i can accept this casting for two reasons:

1. Haley's portrayal of Rorschach in "Watchmen" was impeccable

2. Haley's portrayal of a registered sex offender in the movie "Little Chilrdren" had me sympathizing with him

All i can do is hope the Haley doesn't fall short for such a monumental role.

I also hope director Michael Bay doesn't Go over board with special effects and totally miss the brilliance and subtlety of the plot.

Paranormal Activity

I went to see this movie last night.

First off let me say this is definitely one of the best haunted house movies I have ever seen (and i have seen a lot of haunted house movies). The whole set up for the movies is genius and the marketing plan is even smarter. It took the director Oren Peli about a week to shoot the movie with just one camera. I'm sure this guy is making mucho dollares off of this movie that cost him nickels and dimes. The characters in this movie become easy to sympathize with as we see their relationship become strained due to the paranormal activity.

The actors are very believable through out the movie. At one point I had to question if this was a true story. The movie plays on our fear of not being in control. For the most part the movie is not an out right "scarefest." It more of the little things that happen that sends that chill down you spine and leave you saying wtf.

P.S. the male character micah is one funny guy

Designer Water: VOSS

Who knew one of our most precious resources could be so glamorous. Now i know we are all used to Poland Spring, Dasani, and Aguafina. Hell some of us even spring for Evian and Fiji but now its time to make way for VOSS. the bottles for this water are beautifully sleek and will have you wanting to be seen drinking it everywhere.

VOSS is water imported from Norway. let me just say Norway might have the best tasting water known to man. VOSS has to be the purest tasting water I've ever had. last but not least I'm loving the new bottles the have, the definitely fit better in your hand.

Media, Movies and My Faves!

OMG!! Has it been all this time??? I so miss you bloggers!!

Where do I start?? So much to say its been so long! Ok so lets touch base on a couple of things, Lil' Mama on the Tyra Show, latest in fashion and must see movies! 3, 2, 1... Action

Ok so remember my last blog about the VMAs? Remember the deal with Lil' Mama walking onto stage while Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed? Well I know all of us were wondering what the hell that was about. So this week on Tyra she did a small segment interviewing Lil' Mama about it. Do you know what this girl had nerve to say? She was just overcome with emotion and wanted to get up and share the moment with the two of them seeing that they were from NY and so was she. Really??? If that were the case Lady Gaga who was jammin' FROM HER SEAT as I spotted woulda got on the damn stage with her frekin' bird's nest on her head ( which I love) too, being that she's from Yonkers. I don't even know what the hell to say. So...movin on...

So can I just say that I have an obsession with two finger rings. Wait, before you screw up your face cuz your probably picturing the thick 80's pop locking b-boy looking ones. No, the ones I adore are simple and sexy. Lauren Conrad from "The Hills" has one that says her name but its so small and simple. A few years back, the love of my life Rihanna had one on while visiting 106 & Park that looked crazy retro. I LOVE IT!! and in the latest video where she's headed for war with Jay and Kanye, she has a spiked one that was more on the verge of a four finger ring than a two! Still LOVE IT!

And zippers seem to be the new "in" for the fall. I dig! I think thats so abstract. Kinda reminds me back in the day when Lil' Kim wore a zipper in her weave to the VMAs!! She was like 20 steps of the fashion world with that one! I think its so sexy to have on a simple black dress with a silver zipper goin down the back or front. Attention to detail ladies and gents, attention to detail.

Lets run on down the movie lane shall we? "Couples Retreat", "Good Hair" and of course "Toy Story 3" are definate must see's in the comedy genre. "Jenifer's Body" and "Sorority Row" are what happenin in horror. And if you haven't seen Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" you better get on that.

Just horsed down a slice a pizza from the best places ever..not Dominos, Papa Johns or Pizza Hut, but that hole-in-the-wall pizza shop round your way. Uh huh you know what I'm talking about! Definately food of the day.

Well anywho, Im gonna try my hardest NOT to stay away from you guys for so long again. I'm chillin on the chit chat until next time, in the NEAR future!

My fellow bloggin bff and I would like to talk to you for a bit on some of the hot new trends on the wrist wear for the season. Ok so...let's talk watches..oui??

R u shocked??? Well how bout G-Shocked?? Of course everybody knows about G-Shocks, all the hype beasts are wearing them. (Fyi...Hype Beast= person who wears skater gear but isn't and actual skater!) Its a modern and funky twist on the watch that you wore in the 5th grade with the humongous calculator on it minus the ability to calculate! Me personally I like the white ones. You can rock em with anything and make a statement. And I like funky and classy, so either neons and pastels or bold and diamond encrusted.

Do you like toys?? No freaks not those kinds a toys...toy watches!! LOL All the celebs are rockin these from Ms. First Lady herself...Michelle Obama to the groovin Ellen DeGeneres and the runway walkin, Ms. Naomi Campbell. From jellies to plasteramics and customization...they've got it all. I'm dreamin of gettin a blue jelly band with a yellow face. What do you think? Do it??? Im diggin' the crimson red jelly band with a blinged out face. Si o no? I say Si!

Go for the Gold!! OMG!! I LOVE GOLD WATCHES. This new trend seems to be takin the city by storm. Big faces and thick bands are the way to rock your gold. From Nooka to Michael Kors watches...everybody's doing it up. What better way to get dressed up than with a gold watch? Definitely brings the outfit to another level. These gold watches aren't your typical grandfather watches either! My personal favorite is the Zirc WT Nooka watch. Can you say poppin'? Well nevamind cuz I can wear it! Moi?? I ADORE the Michael Kors Mid-Sized Gold Chronograph watch. I LOVE IT!

'Sigh' where do I begin...I guess at the start of the show...so Janet Jackson and all those dancers tribute to the late great MJ...LOVED IT!!! Ga head Janet still got the moves! Definitely did her brother proud and if I'm not just buggin, I think that's the loudest I'd ever heard her sing.

OK, Mr. Frekin' Kanye West...idk what to say about this dude right now. Really Kanye??? Boy I tell you, black people get in the spotlight one time and now we (yes I'm black 2!) gotta be the voice of everything. We all know Beyonce's video was bad (bad as in good) and I'm sure plenty of us would've liked to see her win but that whole scene on taking away shine from poor little Taylor Swift was not even necessary. S#!% like that don't make no kinda sense. Next time they need to put his a$$ in the back somewhere to sit.

Now, 2 words LADY GAGA...so since "Just dance" I've been in LOVE with this girls everything! She's got some great performance vocals and still gets her choreo (choreography) in. Her performance by the way was amazing. I loved the ending when she started bleeding out of nowhere and hangs herself with a bloody eye! Now can we talk about these outfits (idk if we should even call them that but...). I LOVE that she rocks face gear (She had a chromed plate thing on her cheek in poker face and a lightening bolt in just dance and last night she sported a half mask face plate!) Even her red outfit she rocked after her performance, although a lil crazy it sooo fit her! Wait hold up...can we talk about her speech?, or at least the ending...she dedicated her award to God and the gays!! I so did not know that she was bisexual! J'adore!! (Eminem, who was previously known for his deal with homophobia's face was priceless!) Lastly can I just say that I adore this girls make-up. she the cutest little thing ever! Ga head Lady Gaga!

Ms. BK herself Beyonce...couple of things on her. I loved her performance and her seemed to be tribute to the Janet Jackson and the Rhythm Nation thing with 5,000 people all synchronized doing a dance (Iswear if 5,000 people were doing the hokey-pokey, it'll look hot!) I ain't mad at her, very sexy look!! Also I love how she called out Taylor Swift when she accepted her award and allowed her to finish her rudely interrupted speech. Awww Beyonce! Also, very sexy and simple dress she wore. Beyonce, u betta work!

Pink, first off rolled up in a fire truck. She runs s#!%. She looked amazing from her hair to her dress (which I think she looked better in vs. Shakira, she sill my girl though!) and her performance was sick! Who knew she had all them tricks up her leotard? I admire the fact that she still sounds ridiculous (again ridiculous as in amazing) while hanging upside down. I love her voice and I love her edgy dare devil having a$$!

Quick quick quick, can I just point out Alicia Keys' shoes during her performance with Jay-Z? Mucho frekin' Caliente! And umm can anybody tell me what was Lil'Mama's purpose of going up on stage during that performance? This ain't America's Best Dance Crew..smh and someone needs to tell her them rhinestones on the back of the jeans is DEAD & GONE!

Whew I think I covered the highlights of the show...at least in my eyes.

Im starving!! How about you...we're going simple and healthy today with a apple cinnamon muffin with granola on top and a strawberry banana yogurt from Yoplait!

Missed me? I know I miss you all as well. Ok so what shall we investigate today?? 'Gasp' How about shoes. We'll cover all basis from what the most comfortable shoe for a female to wear to a party to the sexy sling backs to the laid back sneaks. No worries fellas..we'll talk bout footwear 4 u 2!!! Shall we begin??? tres, dos, uno....

Ok ladies so I know you've went out to a party and gotten to the point where your dogs were WOOFING!! (You may have even gotten down with your shoes off...mmhm been there done that!) There is nothing cute about a sexy outfit and an even sexier female dancing with a drink in one hand and her shoes in the other...cut it out! I know, when you leave the house and first get to the club its cute for a bit but the pain the next day is rediculous rite!!

Ok, so I've come to the conclusion that if we're gonna go sexy with some heel, the best way to go is platform with a thick heel or wedge it out!! That way you get complete support on the entire foot. If were gonna go cute a sassy...go low with some flats and get brave show a lil toe action and make me peep toe.

Lets talk lady sneaks for a min yes? So I have a new found slight obsession with hightop classic adidas...I think there so comfy and cute. Definitely gives off this hip hop look. I LOVE IT!! Low top sneaks like tiger's a definate casual look the colors compliment a great subtle outfit. And lets not forget those Chuck Taylor's... Just bout a low cut pair in fuscia the other day. I LOVE EM TO DEATH!

Ok gentlemen...so, party shoes... just take it easy ok no pointed toe shoes with alligator skin, no high-top boot shoes with 12 million laces, straps and buckles...simple is always better! A nice pair of casual shoes/sneaks from Aldo or Zara or even the Lanvin's my fellow bloggin bff talked about in his post. (Btw, I adore the ones Mrs. Obama was rocking! Cah-ute!!) As far as it goes with athletic sneaks, I just love a man that can rock some Air Max 95's and Nike Shox...sexxxyy! Don't lemme catch none a ya'll with no damn white or black uptowns on cuz I will take em off your feet and burn em right in front your face!

Im starving, how bout you? Food of the day...cheeseburger with french fries and a cold malt!! Yea I'm back on my Americano!!

Thanks for tuning back into the edge peoples. Its been a cool couple of days since these fingers have clocked out on the chit chat. Well can't stay away for too long..time to talk. So today's topic I've decided is gonna be all about hair from the fashion fall outs to the sexy side sweeps we'll cover it all...shall we begin?

3, 2, 1...ok so first up lets go long and go to the Gossip Guru of them all Ms. Wendy Williams. So since her shows stared airing she's been all over the place with her honey highlighted lace front wiggy's (yes i said wiggy!). Ok fine shes had a few of them that have been on point with the flips and the curls and the stright and sassy. But hold up wait FREEZE!! Who the hell told her that the nasty looking frizz experiment on her head was the way to go for her commercial?? Wendy...forget "how you doin?", but "what you doin?" (gotta say it with the voice!) It did nothing for those crazy fab cheekbones of yours. Its all good though I still got mad love for you gurl.

Moving on to Ms Tyra Banks...the diva with the weava!! I love that Tyra can do a show while rockin a full head of weave or throw on a wiggy and a day later sport some cornrows going straight back and still look amazing!! Go head wit yo bad self!

Last of the ladies of course gotta go back to my love Ms. Fenty (Rihanna). So since she's chopped the long locks, shes been rocking some of the hottest haircuts and been the trend starter for many styles since. Her latest daring move where she shaves off the sides completely and leaves her little hawk thing?? ummm, at first I was like r right boo wat is goin on? Don't be turning into them crazy cracked out celebs. But then I seen her in the "Run This Town" video and she looked a lil disturbia-ed but it grew on me!! Ga head mama!

Let's move to some muchachos for a minute. Ok so we spoke very briefly about Trey Songz and his haircut a few blogs ago. I adore it because honey...when he had them braids he alwyas looked a mess. Coming on tv with some 4 ass plaits (yes i said plaits, that's the coconut in me!). Good look Trey. And Mario, sigh at first that was all I had when he show up on 106 & Park with a frekin bald head. I didn't know what that was about. Was he balding? Did someobody screw up his hairline or what?? But baabby...he showed up a few weeks later to perform with a little goatee grown in and gurrl that lil boy that was singing bout some girl that was just a friend eight years ago is ALL GROWN UP!!! Mucho Caliente!!!

Hungry?? I thought you'd be, food of the day is rice & peas, stew chicken, and macaroni pie with some collard greens and sweet plantain. str8 up coco status!

The Last Airbender

So I don't know how many people follow Avatar: The Last Airbender but that was my favorite cartoon when it came on Nick. When it ended I was kinda sad. Then I found out they have a movie coming out, the last air bender. Not to be confused with Avatar, it has nothing to do with airbending

The Last Airbender is being directed by M.Night Shyamalan, you know the guy who directed The Sixth Sense

Well my question is what the basis for the story line of this movie? Is it gonna be like a summarized version of the cartoon or is it gonna take place where the cartoon left off? hmmmm...

My next thing is why is the casting so bad they are turning this into what the dragon ball z movie was. Does anyone remember that movie?... don’t worry I'll wait............. That’s what I thought.

Back to the matter at hand. Any idiot can look at Sokka and Katara and realize that they are not white. Clearly they are darker than all the other characters in the cartoon so why are white people playing them?

You know what I’m not mad though can't help but be excited for the this movie to drop, my inner geek is gonna come out so fast heads are gonna spin

Fall Fashions: Band/Military Jackets

As we all know the king of pop Michael Jackson passed away a couple months ago. Mr. jackson had a sense of style like no other... until now.

When you see the fall/winter collection for lines like Dolce & Gabbana, Zara , and Balmain you can see MJ's influence on the fashion world, but these jackets are not your high schools band jacket, or the countries military jackets. This fashion seasons band/military jackets are a mixture of motorcycle jackets, bombers, and fit like blazers. I'm loving this trend but I can't say that you'll catch me in one of these jackets.

Fall Fashions: Waxed Denim

denim is an essential part of a wardrobe that can be dressed up and dressed down. who doesn't have that favorite pair of jeans that they wear every chance they get? you know what I'm talking bout the jeans that are worn at the foot with the wallet imprint on the pocket and faded into oblivion. well i say all this to say denim is very Americana, so who wouldn't be excited about waxed denim?

what i love about waxed denim is the look of it. its a very understated way to stand apart from the crowd. this is a perfect thing to add to my winter wardrobe. it best that i let you all know that waxed denim has very little stretch so your best bet would be to try them on before purchasing.

working at Zara you get to see a lot of clothing that look very similar to high end designer brands. From my first day of my job i wondered where my store get their inspiration for the sneakers.

So the other day i was talking to the honey and she was telling me about this brand Lanvin, and how much Zara sneakers resembles them. so being the sole craver that i am of course i went searching for the sneakers, and guess what? celebs like to where Lanvin too.

i was listening to my ipod on shuffle today and a song came on that i never heard before, which happens all the time cuz i have 4,188 and i know i haven't listened to all of them. when the song came on i was like what the eff is this but yet i was still jamming (lol). when i realized it was a craig david song i immediately looked at my ipod to figure out what song it was. how many people know the craig david song "she's on fire"? (cuz i had it on my ipod and still didn't know it)

Welcome back to the edge! Ok so I have the craziest obssesion with tattoos lately. Lets talk ladie tatts. Shall we begin...3, 2, 1 ok so everyone know that Kat Von D is like the goddess of tattoos right!! Her portrait work on her body is ridiculous she's definitely one of my faves with her art work...not to mention she's a hottie!

Another fave of mines is Mrs. Jolie-Pitt, love how she can be so edgy yet so soft and suttle. I adore her longitude latitude tat on the left arm and talk about feisty with that tiger on her back...Rrrrarr!! Pink isn't to far behind with a bunch of edgy ones all over the place.

Victoria Beckham's tat going down the middle of her back...extra sexy have no clue what the heck it says though!

And of course I can't talk tatts without talking bout my Love Rihanna. From my count were at ten and counting. I love the idea of many mini tattoos all over the place.

Question, what is it with these random tattoos? Idk but Im feeling them. Ok we had the whole stars obsession and I never really got it but wateva..anywho, there's a new trend on barcode tattoos?? I love it! I mean I would never get one but i think the randomness is kool! I was in the city the other day and I seen a girl that had the word "apple." tattooed on the left side of her wrist. Mucho caliente!!

I'm sooo in the mood for a new tatt. Really wanna get a quote or something above my armpit on the underside of my arm (yea i know it sounds a bit weird, but the chick from that so called group Nina Sky has one there to give you a better idea!) I so loving that idea.

Can I also just share that think that sleeve tattoos are soooo sexy!!! OMG I LOVVE IT!! I don't think I'd get one cuz I cudn't pull it off!

Massive Movements

Once again welcome to the edge my fellow bloggers, shall we begin...

Well today was a pretty bland day in the normal tax payers world, however lets talk media, music and food for a minute, yes?

So Trey Songz album dropped yesterday and he's been doing a bunch of promoting in New York for it this week. Don't have much to say on the album (I dig the songs that are out right now though) but lets talk about his album cover and choice of wardrobe this past week. 3,2,1... OK, sooo can we say "sexy"? Seems like ol' boy's been getting his work out on. Love the choice on going black & white very GQ with the nakedness. Good look with the "fairly new" haircut. Unfortunately I can't say the same about his outfit on 106 & Park today (9/2/09). What is the deal with the extra tight vest? Bad enough you already skinny Trey lets try to stay away from close fitting threads. No love lost though!

Moving on, to all my fellow coconuts out there labor day is approaching and the reggae and soca vybez are definitely in the air. Trinidad & Tobago go mash up d parkway wit Ms. Faye-Ann Lyons and she two big bad tunes Heavy T Bumper & Meet Super Blue. Skinny Fabulous and d Vincey massive go jump up from nite till mornincuz dey head bad, Greenz go play a wicked jab with Tallpree and the Bajans cyan wait to wuk up wit Lil' Rick!
